Courts order EPA to proceed with boiler rule

Yesterday, the courts denied EPA’s request to delay on rules that would restrict certain types of air pollution from industrial boilers. We think the message is clear: after two decades of work on this issue, the time for analysis is over.

As we say in our public comments on this regulation, the sooner these unhealthy emissions are controlled, the more lives are saved and the more economic benefits are awarded to the American public.

These proposed rules are a good start and EPA should not delay their implementation. And now, the courts seem to agree.
