Mythili Vinnakota

Economic Fellow

Mythili Vinnakota is an Economic Fellow at Policy Integrity focusing on climate risk. Mythili earned her Ph.D from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago. Her research focuses on the intersection of environmental economics and public finance. She uses applied microeconomic principles and techniques to study household responses to natural disaster resilience policies and quantify the impacts of hurricane exposure on housing markets and local business volume.

Prior to her doctoral studies, Mythili held a position as a research analyst at the Brattle Group, where she worked on securities litigation and patent infringement cases, and contributed to pro bono litigation addressing bail reform. She holds a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago.
