JP Martinez
Research Associate
JP Martinez is a research associate at Policy Integrity. JP received his B.A. in business and economics and his M.A. in economics from PUC Chile and recently graduated from the M.S. in computational analysis and public policy program at the University of Chicago, during which he held research assistant and teaching assistant positions. JP’s interests are in using economic analysis and leveraging technology in the fields of energy, transportation, and competition policy.
Prior to his M.S. studies JP worked for four years as an economist for the Chilean Antitrust Agency in the Mergers Division, conducting economic research to analyze the potential effect proposed mergers could have in the Chilean economy and the affected productive sectors.
