Matt Lifson earned his J.D. from Yale Law School and a Masters in Environmental Management from the Yale School of the Environment with a specialization in environmental policy analysis. Before joining Policy Integrity, Matt clerked for Chief Judge Jon D. Levy of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine and Associate Justice William W. Hood III of the Colorado Supreme Court. During law school, he interned with Earthjustice's offices in New York and Denver, the Natural Resources Defense Council's litigation team, and Our Children's Trust. Matt also led the climate team of Yale's Rule of Law Clinic and participated in the Environmental Protection Clinic and the Yale Reproductive Rights and Justice Project. He previously taught 7th-grade science, and he received his B.A. magna cum laude from Brown University in economics.
