Fifth Annual Cost-Benefit Analysis and Issue Advocacy Workshop
Since our founding, we have held an annual cost-benefit workshop that trains advocates to properly and powerfully use economics to strengthen their work, and to dig deeper into cutting edge topics in economic analysis.
We did that again, on Monday, October 28th, 2013, but this year, we celebrated two important anniversaries: Policy Integrity’s fifth year, and the twentieth anniversary of Executive Order 12866, which established cost-benefit analysis as the test for proper regulatory action, and serves as the foundation of Policy Integrity’s work.
We marked this occasion with remarks from OIRA administrators past and present. We are pleased to announce that Howard Shelanski, Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) will serve as the keynote speaker. He will be joined by two of his distinguished predecessors, Sally Katzen and Boris Bershteyn, who will share their thoughts on the history of the Executive Order.
